Just to say, I’ve worn Birkenstocks since I was a teenager and I’m 42. I did read a lot of reviews saying that people thought these were fake. I don’t think these are fake, they came in a classic box and appear to be normal Birkenstocks. I bought them for a trip and only wore them for about a week, not even excessively. I’ve owned Birkenstocks for more than 10 years and the cork bed did not look like this even after that amount of time. These look like I’ve lived in them for years! So I am confused about the quality. The other thing is that the inside of the fake leather is a felt like material and got very dirty just from the sand alone. I can’t image what they’ll look like from the nyc streets in the summer! Ugh. Other than that they fit like normal Birkenstocks. I do like them but next time I would just buy the leather ones but I needed them in a pinch. (prime!) The Birkenstock website does sell white leather ones but no one else seems to, not even the Birkenstock store downtown.

I usually wear an 8-8.5 in shoes so I ordered a 39. I got these in the mail today and they are way too big! When I adjust my toes to fit nicely into the mold, I can fit my entire thumb in the heel! The straps are already as tight as they can be, and I guess I have skinny feet because the straps are also too big. When I walk in them I have to flex my toes up to make sure the shoes dont slide off. Disappointed

I wear a 7 medium in US (I dont wear any other size such as a 7 narrow, a 7.5 or a 6.5) and ordered a 37 N EU. It fits perfectly. I tried on the 38 N EU in a store and it was a tad long. I have worn Birkenstocks since the 1980s so there were no surprises when I got this pair. . . Comfy and dependable. This is the first time that I ordered the soft foot and they are wonderful. I just returned from a 2 mile walk with my dog and my feet feel pretty good considering that these shoes are brand new. I have a low arch (not flat) and I have to wear them for a couple of weeks before the footbed forms to perfectly accommodate the shape of my arch. Over the years, I have discovered that Birks get even more comfortable with wear. In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy them for my daily dog walks without fear of pain or blisters. If you dont plan on using your Birkenstocks to go on long walks, you dont have to wear them in before you begin to enjoy them. They are ready to wear from out of the box.

I had been looking for Birkenstocks on Amazon for quite awhile. I wanted a soft foot bed and these were advertised as such. The sandals shipped to me were NOT soft foot bed as I was expecting. The seller replied within one day and stated they did not have the soft foot bed, and provided information to return these to them. I decided to go ahead and keep the hard foot bed sandals sent to me, still trying to break them in. Not very comfortable at first. I understand from others that have Brikenstocks, it takes awhile to break them in. I hope I enjoy them once they become more comfortable to wear.
